A late post for japan trip, came back on the 16th dec but kind of lazy to update until now. On paper, my trip lasts 6 days but in actual fact its only 4 days since the first and last day is for arriving and departure only.
1st day: temple visits and some government building the temple looks interesting with the guardians at the gate, kind of remind me of singapore's temple. There was this charm thing that i wanted to buy for others but then again, i dun tink they will understand so no point thus out goes the idea. Didnt go inside to pray cos too troublesome, need to wash hands and mouth with the water they provide there, lazy = no fun ^^ Next, we went to the government building, there are alot of historical stuff there but there is not the main point(even though its stated to be the highlight of the trip there), the main thing was the scenery. If i nvr rmb wrongly, we were at 45 or 47 floor, the view from the top is nice and just nice it was close to night time, it was really beautiful. After that, we went for dinner, its called shabu-shabu. Basically, its japanese steamboat, just that the whole meal there was only with beef and wild veg O_O I think japanese people just like veg too much, not my style totally >_< 2nd day: tokyo disneyland and dinner at hotel near mt fuji and hot spring ^^ ok... to be honest, i wasnt particularly excited with disneyland perhaps if you ask me to go to some anime land, it wont be that case but oh well. Anyway, disneyland is as what most people imagine, full of disney characters. We went for rides like jungle tour, some ship, nightmare before christmas and pirates of the carribbean ride( since when are they part of disney?), the people in charge of the rides are extremely friendly to the point that i had no idea how to react to them, alot of times, i just keep quiet. Compared to singapore, they are alot nicer. Ah yes, mel and kiat actually went for the horse ride which i think is called merry go round? They were the only 2 on it without any kids =_= That day was really cold with the raining pouring down and stuff but fun still. The hotel dinner was a i have no idea type of meal but its really a feast, there was this boat like thing with lots of sashimi on it, had like tuna, salmon, squid, tako, scallop and other wierd wierd stuff. It was really filling, cant even finish my food... Ah yes, the final part was hot spring, it was damm shiok. The warmth was very relaxing but it either my imagination or i soaked too long to the point that i was letting out steam from my body, wierd lol. Anyway, kiat did take photos of the hot spring(with no one inside of cos) so i guess i will ask him to upload the pics to facebook or something. Yukata is also hard to wear, maybe it just feel unnatural. Thats the end of 2nd day, trip is halfway over T_T 3rd day: mt fuji, mt hakone According to the weather report, we wasnt able to go up mt fuji cos it might be dangerous but when we reach the main entrance, we received news that we can go up to the 5th station, i was quite excited but seriously... lol The moment we reach that, we alighted and i wanted to go back up. It was freezing there even with all my weapons equiped, the wind is godly strong with rain/snow falling on us, strong wind + rain/snow = pain, so in the end, it ended in 10min i think, we just took some photos, enjoy the cold wind abit and went back up. Mt hakone, not as interesting as mt fuji, i think its 839m tall if i never rmb wrongly that is. The difference between the 2 mountains is one is fill with snow, the other filled with gas. Mt hakone was spewing out SO2( sulphur dioxide) since dont know how long ago, it was smoky but still manage to reach the top, not as awesome as mt fuji but it will do. 4th day: hello kitty land( yes i am serious -_-) akihabara(yay!) Early in the morning, we went straight for hello kitty land, got caught up in a jam while i just slept all the way through the bus ride. The moment we reach there... ok imagine this. Entrance to hello kitty land is in the north while the shopping malls are in the south, we look at each other, smile abit and turn and walk south ^^ We headed for the shopping mall first, found some gachapon machine, mel went for kamen rider while me still deciding over whether to use it, in the end i still didnt buy it. After which, we went back into hello kitty land, it was excruciating, we only went for the trip. I think it was to introduce hello kitty stuff, cant really rmb =_= the main highlight was that i was totally scared of it, there was this room.... totally pink.... full of cute stuff.... too cute that i would faint... After the ride, we just head straight for the exit, never look back... Next, we headed to akihabara, its like singapore's orchard road. Full of people but its anime paradise ^^ Found a chopper plush toy which i think i am giving away as christmas present. Of course, i bought quite abit of cards but the shop was too crowded for me to buy more, regretted that though. Saw alot of females promoting maid cafe, i think real humans not as interesting as anime so i guess i will pass. Thats the end of my jap trip, quite short but still fun in any case, probably will go back there next year. Buy more stuff! For now, back to the reality in singapore... 29 degree celsius -_- haiz, damm sian |
